great sleeping bag for campervans
This sleeping bag is ideal for campervans. It is a bit on the bulky side for carrying in a rucksack, but the quality and design make it ideal for our campervan/awning - very warm and adaptable(two can be zipped together to form a double bag) - not the cheapest, but certainly well worth the money

Sleeping bag
We took this sleeping bag twice already, very comortable, warm and soft. does not feel damp in the mornings. it is enough space for two people.

Great for shorter people
We bought this product to go with our new tent and kingsize air bed. We have been camping for many years and so have quite a lot of experience with different bedding solutions. I think it's a great product, neat storage bag (which it is actually possible to get back into quite easily even on your own), reasonably thick although not quite adequate for the colder nights in a tent but good for most weather. The main downside is the length. I am 5ft7 and I hang out the top of the sleeping bag slightly so i advise you do check the length of the product and make sure to give yourself excess as the measurements they give are taken when the product is completely flat so it is a bit shorter once you're inside.

Bags of warmth
I needed a sleeping bag and needed one fast! After finding out exactly what I needed in terms of temperature and what I'd be using it for. I liked the look, style and specifications of this Rab sleeping bag. It arrived two days later and just in time for my weekend away to a mountain bothy in a remote location on the West Coast of Scotland. It was a little heavier than I expected it to be but I suppose it was my own fault for not paying attention. I also felt it was a bit bulky for the base of my 65ltr rucksack (but again, it's personal preference) so will probably buy a stuff sack to reduce the size for future outings. Other than that I can't really fault it. It was warm and I was comfortable the whole weekend :)

Great product - perfect for cycle touring
I bought the bag influence by its pack size, weight and price. I intended to use it for summer touring in the UK and Europe. The bag packs small enough to be able to share space in a Carradice rear pannier with a tent, self-inflating sleeping mat and Trangia stove. I am a large male - 5' 11" and twenty two stones and the bag accommodated my large frame without me feeling cramped. The bag is warm enough for a comfortable night's sleep and is quick to pack away in its stuffer sack the next morning.

Budget and weight conscious walkers and cyclists should have this bag on their equipment list. I don't think that you can get more performance for less money.

review
To begin with I thought I had the snugpak softie elite 3 sleeping bag outside in as the material feels weird and outside in like. The sleeping bag should however not be considered for that low celcius that it promises. + degrees celcius will do, anything under 0 celcius would be a risk. Have stayed indoor at about 7 or even 10 degrees and still frozen just a bit. Could not fall asleep if much below +5 degrees celcius unless wearing outdoor clothes inside it. With clothes on of course it does go way lower. The design seems nice (seems) and also durable for that sake. Packs down relatively small. Material is so synthetic that one should not wear synthetic clothes... or actually the ammount of electricity generated on your body might actually keep you warm... It seems to be a little thicker on the head part too. That part is soft. There is a small pocket inside which can be used for storing a flashlight for example. At the bottom end there are two plastic clips so it can be hung up to...

Snugpak Softie Elite 3
This is a very nice peace of kit. It does its job admirably, I was out for two days in the woods and it kept me very warm.
I would have no hesitation about using this sleeping bag in the winter with a bivei bag and flees liner in side the sleeping bag.

I am 6'3" and it fits
Excellent quality bag.
It kept me warm as toast in the Pyrenees last week when the snow was on the ground outside our unheated refuge hut - so much so that I wore nothing but my boxers in it. Moments before I had been playing cards with my coat and gloves on it was that cold.
This week I used it to sleep in on the floor of a house in central London that I am working in - it was warm but not too warm.
Size wise it fits me being 6'3" with a 46" chest - plenty of length but the bag is a bit constricting across the shoulders but still useable.
In conclusion a relatively light bag which is warm. well made and functional.

Excellent Quality
Great quality sleeping bag, plenty warm for cold spring camping (and probably freezing winter if you wear clothes!) and feels really well made. Comes with a warranty that you register online for.

Comes with a compression bag which is blue with orange straps and works really well.

Really impressive
I've got several Snugpak items. They are all really impressive, no nonsense, effective, and a really good price.
Nothing is perfect and personal preferences will play a part, but this, and the other items, are at least as good as anything I've seen by other manufacturers, and usually half the price. Don't think that the low price means low performance.
