I bought this shelter in a hurry because I had committed to cook loads of BBQ smoked meats in the back garden for a Jubilee party and the rain was hammering down.

I didn't fancy getting soaked to the skin so, on the Sunday morning of Jubilee weekend I did a quick check online and found the Vango Family Shelter offered the largest coverage (3x4 meters). There are cheaper options but I needed that coverage to keep myself and my wood and charcoal dry.

I found a local tent megastore that had stock, popped down there, bought the shelter as soon as they opened and had the shelter erected in the back garden within an hour..

The kit comes with 2 tent poles. Basic configuration is to erect it with these poles inserted through holes at each end of the central ridge, peg out using the 2 double ended guy lines provided and then use the remaining guy lines to peg out the structure. The pegs are pretty good - not the thin wire ones that often come with cheap...
