Definitely safe but perhaps a little flimsy.........
Nicely made, comfortable and the MIPS is what I was after. That is the plus...However, the shell is way too soft I reckon..a few bumps on the gondola with the crowd and pop goes the helmet. (maybe cos I am short). I am not sure if it is the softness of the outer or the MIPS cos nothing was felt apart from noises, so I can't attribute that to the system...It didn't break but dented! Well, manufacturer says not to use as the structural strength is broken. Pretty expensive way to go...
However, the manufacturer did say the guarantee will allow you to buy a new one for 30% off MRP with in the year but need to ship that back for proof and so the saving will end up as postage. Bit of a hazzle too. Also local dealership doesn't have much stock and give only 20% off, so it has to go all the way back to the US if take up the offer.
For all that I can only give a 3 star. Good product but nothing to scream about. I only had it for 2 weeks.
Seems like bit too expensive for a short...
