a fantastic tool, used every day
I am, I must admit already a big gerber fan, and i bought the 600 Multi tool to replace a 400 sport that I have had for many years.
The 600 is a good bit bigger than the 400, and feels good in the hand, it has the same one handed slide open mechanism which works well and engages firmly making the whole tool come across as well made and strong.
The tools inside the handle are very well made from high quality stainless steel and ground to very flat ends, unlike some of the cheaper multitools on the market, where the screwdrivers are cast and rendered pretty much useless by being rounded at the ends. Also the high quality steel means that the knife takes a very good edge, although very sharp when i bought the tool, the abuse i give it means i fairly regularly sharpen the blade, I use a gerber diamond sharpening stone Gerber Diamond Knife Sharpener which quickly returns the blade to a razor sharp edge,...

This multi tool is the nuts Ive had mine for over 4 years. It is used every day, been dropped trod on drenched and still works as well as the day I bought it. The nylon case is looking a bit tattered but replacements can be obtained from many sources. Saved my life many times.
