To begin with I thought I had the snugpak softie elite 3 sleeping bag outside in as the material feels weird and outside in like. The sleeping bag should however not be considered for that low celcius that it promises. + degrees celcius will do, anything under 0 celcius would be a risk. Have stayed indoor at about 7 or even 10 degrees and still frozen just a bit. Could not fall asleep if much below +5 degrees celcius unless wearing outdoor clothes inside it. With clothes on of course it does go way lower. The design seems nice (seems) and also durable for that sake. Packs down relatively small. Material is so synthetic that one should not wear synthetic clothes... or actually the ammount of electricity generated on your body might actually keep you warm... It seems to be a little thicker on the head part too. That part is soft. There is a small pocket inside which can be used for storing a flashlight for example. Snug for a Softie
I don't camp. I don't sleep on the hard surface of outside ground. I'm not the kind of person to buy this type of thing but I went on a Survival course in depths of a cold February...it seemed like a good idea at the time. After looking at reviews and prices I came up with this sleeping bag, partly because of it's adaptability for warmer weather. On my course, I was the only one who did not feel the cold at night so that says something about it. The density of the filling material cushions the ground well, although I still used a sleeping mat underneath. This dense material does have a down side though...it makes it a bit of a cram to get it into the stuff sack, but not a problem when you crack the method. It also means that it's quite heavy compared to what I previously knew as sleeping bags...however, less weight is bound to mean less warmth unless you get something with a down filling. Pretty good bag, however potentially fatal issue
I would've liked to give this sleeping bag more stars but am reluctant.
It is supposedly comfortable up to 15/20 degrees Celsius, however I would personally say it is a little less. I used it in Yellowstone National Park at about -6 degrees C at night and I wasn't exactly warm and cosy, though it was acceptable. I have a feeling it could get cold in there in colder temperatures.

One SERIOUS issue with this however. Out in harsh conditions with no real supplies, upon zipping it up slowly as normal, the zip got stuck in the material of the bag, I spent about an hour (-7 degrees celcius at the time) carefully and calmly trying to unsnag the zip to allow it to fully fasten, and prevent myself from freezing over! However this was not possible, because of the conditions I had to cut the material with a knife and force the bag shut. Its now broken and I just don't have the time to deal with explaining how it broke and whether it is under warranty etc...
