A Serious Bag
Despite this being the medium version, it's large and in charge. It looks like a gun bag one might see in an action film when held by the top straps, and it'll make you look like a turtle if you wear it like a rucksack. The interior looks easily capacious enough to hold clothing for a week along with toiletries and electronics with room to spare.

The bag comes with a plethora of handholds and carrying options: you'd have no trouble groping for a handle in the dark. There are two grips on either end of the bag, the hidable shoulder straps, and two handles that can be velcroed together for carrying it at the top. All of these seem durable and reasonably comfortable.

The zips and material seem durable, though because this is a collapsible canvas bag, you won't get any padding or protection, but it's easy to work around by swaddling fragiles in clothes and so on.

My only quibble is that the Tatonka logo is a bit too large. It isn't ugly or anything - I...

Good jacket, maybe a tad overpriced though
I got this jacket on sale on the Bear Grylls website & whilst I'm happy with it there's some things that I didn't know thanks to the stock photos. First off, the interior - I was expecting a heavy warm winter jacket that would also double as a jumper if you only wore a shirt underneath but this is not the case. Instead its a very lightweight jacket made of thin (but high quality) material, the wind proofing works well & the jacket is quick to dry & the collar + hood combination ensures that a majority of your head will be covered against the wind & rain. I haven't tested it out in heavy rain but I'm sure it'd hold up well

It would be nice if there were a few more pockets, there's only 3, 1 interior & 2 outer - all with zippers. The interior one seems to dip down from its original height which feels a bit awkward. I guess its for safety for anyone who's doing adventure-like things at peculiar angles. Even so it nestles a bit too low for comfort. An extra zipped pocket on the...

Peaked!!!
Great tent! Can stand up. Have not yet used it for a holiday. That is to come in July, but I put it up in the garden and slept in it for two nights. Very poor weather, but stood up to it. I do suggest buying new ropes for it as they are black and some heavy duty pegs as the pegs that come with it bend and comes out of the ground too easily.Plenty of room for 6 people comfortably. When I mean comfortably (beds etc in the bedrooms, a double bed in each big bedroom and I would say 1 single in the other) 4 adults 2 kids. You could get 8 with a push. Everything was bone dry with the bad weather we had, so hopefully it will be ok for a 9 night holiday. Can't wait!!!

Marmot guide vest
I bought the guide vest as I wanted something different from the nuptse vest every one seems to be wearing.

I am 5' 11" medium and the medium vest fits me perfect. However, the pertex outer material is not as hard wearing as other down clothing I use. The down fill works fine, but seems a little on the thin side compared to Rab and North face.

GoLite Men's Kenai Pertex 2.5L Waterproof Jacket
Why I brought

Just so you know the angle I'm coming from with my review, I brought the jacket specifically to use whilst running. Normally I wouldn't wear a waterproof for running but for longer training runs of 2+ hours it's a huge benefit. Also a waterproof is compulsory for many 50 and 100 mile races.

I haven't owned this Jacket for very long, but what I have experienced so far has been very good.

The Fit

I'm 5'11 and slim and went for the medium as I like to have space for layers and also air flow under any jacket is key for breathability. The fit on me was relaxed but not 'flappy'. Arm length was just about right with the velcro fastenings doing a great job. The hood is well designed and adjustable.

Features

This jacket is very light, the fabric feels thin but not delicate and of the really lightweight jackets I've felt this one really feels quite substantial. My medium tips the scales at just under 300...
