Teva walking boots
Great boots, but I think the sizing should be revised. A size 7 (US) is said to be a 5.5 English women's. However, I do feel a size 7 American is more like a 4.5, just slightly smaller than a European 38. A 7.5 would be more realistic for a size 5. I have encountered this difficulty in the US and now feel I am a 7.5, or 38, or 5. What threw me was the 5.5 equivalent of a 7, from the size chart, and also I have Teva walking sandals in a 7 which are perfect. However, for this boot I would recommend anyone taking a 5 to order a 7.5.

Excellent walking boots
I bought these a month ago to replace some inferior Karrimor boots whose waterproof qualities only lasted a few months. Several friends have lower-end Grisport boots and swear by their comfort levels and quality, and taking size 13 I had to consider looking outside the traditional good boot brands. First impressions were that these are tough boots, and as expected they took a little walking in before the leather softened up a little, the soles and heels were very stiff at first. A couple of winter munros later and the comfort levels increased rapidly, and after 8 significant walks in them now they are really quite comfortable. The vibram grip is good as expected, and as they are quite high they are nice for keeping feet dry on walks where I don't use gaiters. All in all they are progressing perfectly, I will amend this review in a few more months when I see how the build deals with heavy usage.

Note: as with some others, I found the size to be smaller than usual, but as I...

Bombproof boot
I can't recommend these boots highly enough!! i clean wheelie bins for a living so my footware gets a really hard life!!! i'd hate to think how many miles i walk in a day and my boots basically get jet washed all day everyday!! i have destroyed certain so say high end

Product Details JACK WOLFSKIN Men's All Terrain Texapore Trekking Boots, Black, UK10

Trekking boots are often worn for long periods at a time and so have to provide continuous comfort. They also have to provide support in the upper part of the boot and secure traction underfoot because of the rough terrain that will be encountered. These boots include a sure-grip outsole that can handle a variety of terrain, and the shock-absorbing qualities mean that your feet will be brilliantly cushioned, even with heavy rucksack loads. There is also a motion guide shank between the upper and the sole. This determines the torsion resistance of the whole sole, and as a result, the activities which the boot is suitable for. The trekking boots include a preformed 4.5mm thick polypropylene shank with medium torsion resistance. The boot also consists of Texapore technology; a waterproof, breathable construction membrane. This 4-ply laminate material makes up a layer of mesh carrying material, the membrane itself, another layer of padding and a lining material. This particular boot includ...

Too small
Nice looking boots, but the sizing is on the small side for my husbands size 14 feet. Fortunately they come in 15, so we will try those.

Too small.
Although I take a size 7 in most shoes these were far too small. Pity because they seemed good quality.

Unbeatable value for money
I bought this shoe because of it's massive discount of seventy five percent to the rrp and the quality brand that is Teva. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be half as good as it is and my only regret is not buying another pair before they sold out! It is a nice wide fitting which is a refreshing change to most other brands that I have tried and the comfort level is second to none. It has a grippy vibram sole and comes pre-treated with Scotchguard for water repellancy. In my honest opinion there is no better footwear deal on amazon!

Not full leather lined - hard heel.
I wanted to like these - I am not convinced that Goretex is good in boots, so a leather lined leather boot sounded nice - but the leather lining is only the ankle cuff - further inside its cambrelle or the like. Which may not matter to you. But what I also did not like was that the leather heel liner than was present felt hard - although a lighter boot than the Vioz and intended to be less for serious mountain walking, I found the Vioz GT has softer leather and a springier heel.

They might well wear in nicely, but that was not a risk I was prepared to take.

very pleased
I'm writing this review one year after the purchase so, I already tried the boots. The look (if you are interested) is great, the quality even better. The soft leather lining makes a great difference in comfort (my first pair of boots that I was able to wear immediately after the purchase and no harming my feet) , the boot is water tide and the sole has a very good grip.
