"Does what it says on the tin"
Bought this for my wife who needs to sit down regularly having had spinal surgery. Issue is that most sticks on the market are either heavy or cumbersome to cart around. This one is neither. The sitting position is also fine for her at 5'4". Often the feedback for other sticks is that they are too high and therefore unstable. Happy to recommend this product.

We have tried to present and spent much of time to get the most profitable offer for you. When you are still in doubt, you may find anything they said about Black Diamond Trail Shock walking stick.

Good poles, however they do laterally vibrate a fair bit...
These are very good poles. Their greatest strength is the FlickLocks mechanism for fixing the poles into the desired length. This is infinitely better than the usual screw types which tend to eventually start slipping.

The handles are very comfortable and the fact that the cushioning extends down the pole, is another benefit.

Another good thing is that both of the adjustable parts of the pole have measuring scales on them, making it easier to get both poles adjsuted to the same length.

The 2 disadvantages are that
- the poles vibrate laterally quite a bit: it's more visual - you don't notice it unless you're looking. It doesn't affect the feel of the poles, but they definitley shake a bit....
- they don't come with stoppards at the end end to protect the little spike at the end. You just get wee protectors to cover them during transit. For such dear poles, I think this is mean.

Overall good quality poles, a lot better than those...

Great grip, great locking system
The great thing about these poles is their grip and the clipping system. The moult of the grip is pleasant to the hand. Going uphilll you simply grip lower rather than shorten the sticks.

With previous sticks I had much bother with the screw system to shorten or clean the sticks. In the end they slipped when too much weight was put on them. These Black Diamonds have a flip lock system that is so easy to use! It saves a lot of time and hassle putting them together at the required length.
