Coleman Mackenzie X4 just great
For the size of it, this tent was easy to put up simple to do and great in its size range. One of the most positive features of this tent is the canopy. Great for added protection from the elements sun or rain!
The only concern I have is the way the material sweats up inside, but on use again I would use the vent flaps more. However with a tent of this high hydrostatic head, I am hoping not to get wet in a real downpour! A sturdy floor was reasuring, but I think I may also invest in the carpet and the under mat.

Does what it says on the tin, and then some.

This is how to keep things cold. Take three or four empty four pint milk bottles. Three quarters fill with water and freeze. Anyhing you want to keep cold needs to be chilled BEFORE it goes in. (All food containers must be watertight.) You will also need a lot of ice cubes (buy bags from the supermarket).

The cool box should be the last thing you pack. Place your large blocks of ice in the cool box, add the food and drink, cover in ice cubes.

When away keep lid open for as short a time as possible. Do not drain away the melted ice (cold water refrigerates better than air).

This is going to be heavy so be sure this is the size you want, and remember to place the box as near to the middle of your car as possible.

Used properly this box will not let you down. I used it camping for just 4 days in up to 30 degree heat but it had lots of life left in it at the end of the trip.

Excellent tent for both beginners and experienced campers
Purchased this tent with my girlfriend with a view to camping over the summer. Had just the one outing to date but have been really impressed with the tent.

Its easy to put up, looks good and has an excellent layout inside. Outer compartment is ideal for keeping dirty boots etc and the sleeping compartment had ample room for a double airbed and bags. Could esily fit 3 people in but would recomend 2.

Stayed dry inside despite rainy conditions and kept me well protected from the wind. Would recomend the Coalman 3 man Coastline as it represents excellent value for money.

Really pleased with this tent. So easy to put up (even for me!) and quick too. The sleeping area fits our king-sized inflatable mattress in, with a bit of room to spare. Purposely bought this 3-man to fit 2 of us realy comfortably in, but possible to fit 3 in comfortably too. Like having a good-sized undercover area outside of sleeping area too - is perfect for keeping more items undercover.

Coleman Mackenzie X6
We went camping in the X6 for the first time this weekend. It took us a long time to erect the tent but I am guessing it was our first time and with practice we'll get faster.

The tent was great! The X6 provides an extremely spacious living area and the two bedrooms on the left hand side of the tent were great as we unzipped the dividing fabric so that our 6 year old daughter could feel safe next to us. We used the other room for changing and storage.

The airflow system was very useful, providing us with much needed air circulation at night.

We are looking forward to our next 8 day camping trip in 4 weeks when we'll test our tent out further.

Coleman Dual Fuel twin mantle lantern
Bought one of these 7 years ago, It has accompanied me to beaches night fishing, multiple camping trips and parties in the garden. In a word "fantastic"! It has a good throw of light and the light control is excellent, I purchased a reflector and a case at the same time to prolong the life of it. I guess I have filled it a few dozen times so its probably done 200 - 250 hours on standard unleaded without a problem.
As the previous review states, it burns petrol or coleman fuel and should not be used in an airing cupboard etc but for use indoors and in a camping environment it is brilliant. Also I have not had to change the mantles yet.

Just be careful and you should be fine with this
Nowadays we are very seldom terribly far from electric lights, but if you did not have any electricity for any length of time then this is what you would want to have. It produces a lot of light, to my reckoning equivalent to about a forty watt electric light bulb, but at a relatively low running cost, it will run for hours on a tank of Coleman Fuel.

In contrast paraffin lamps and candles are fine, but don't actually produce much light.

There are however downsides to the lantern.

It runs on Coleman fuel (reasonably easy to get at camping stores) or unleaded petrol. But, if you have ever seen an accidental petrol fire, then you know how careful you need to be. Just getting an ignition source near petrol can be dangerous.

The lantern itself is expensive, but you do get a very solid piece of kit for that.

It runs on mantles, a bit fiddly to install, and delicate. You would not want to swing this about like an electric torch, but if...

Best Lantern we had brought
What can I say, this lantern is economical, very bright, which is what we want for Camping, has a toughened glass, compared to our last one which was very thin and broke easily. The mantles are so easy to put on, unlike our last one too. I'd defiantly buy this one again if the need to, but it would no doubt be a very long time as I can see this one lasting for quite some time yet.

Lantern review
We have been using our 2 mantle lantern on camping trips for over a year now and are very pleased with it. Great light output and the quality of the light is warm, not too harsh like the Coleman LED lantern. Would not want to be without it.

Just a quick update.... 9 months further on and we are still very pleased with this lantern.
