Light my lantern
This is a fantastic piece of kit that I would recommend to any camper/fisherman or just for general outdoor use. It is very well made and it lights first time every time. The control knob makes the light very adjustable and the gas is easy to screw on and off. If there was one thing where they could make an improvement then it would have to be the instructons. I had to look on youtube to find out how to take the globe off in order to attach the mantle which comes with it. (you push in the piece either side of the globe that the wire attaches to and lift off the globe). It mentioned nothing on how to do this in the instructions. The lantern is extremely light and it's case feels like it could handle a fair bit of abuse before you damaged the globe.

Good power, but needs very tall windscreen
At 2800 watts a burner, leaves a Campingaz duo at 1500 watts way behind.

Like the Campingaz Duo, however, it does suffer from a lack of windshield, and one this height would be possibly difficult to find.

2800 watts is also extremely fanciful for continuous use bearing in mind the maximum offtake of an EN417 500g cartridge is about 650 watts.

Swedish made quality
This powerjet ultra comes with the 8706 cyclone burner as standard which is pretty much all I need for soldering work at home as it doesn't flare up and circles the tube as you heat. (The cyclone burner has a max gas consumption of 185g/hr=2400W) The box also contains a large plastic footplate that fits their own brand Ultragas cartridges. The automatic piezo ignition is flawless and so is the flame and trigger control. There are a variey of interchangeable bayonet accessories available as follows : solder bit 8843, pin-point burner 8702, standard burner 8704, hot-air burner 8708 ans soft flame burner 8710. Some packs come with the Ultragas cartridge 2205 (210g) included but as it is a standard screw fitting it will fit the gasex/monument one without need for adaptation- Monument MON434 434R Gasex Un2037 Gas

PS its also great for getting the charcoal bbq going rapidly without the need for smelly fire lighters!
