Expensive, but seems excellent
I received this torch only some days ago, so this is a first impression only.
The torch seems robust, with the switch at the bottom with four modes, boost 800 lumens for 3 minutes maximo, high mode 400 lumens, reduced mode 170 and a strobo mode.
So it is very similar to a P7 led lenser only it is bigger and stronger with a weight very good only 300gr. and seems to do what they promise.
It is expensive as comes with two li-ion batteries one to use and another substitute.
Let see if with the usage it is resistent.

Fenix Head Light review
Bought this head light for work. But it's so good I have decided to use it for fishing and mountain walking instead.

I was told that it had a good beam setting, and when tested it didn't let me down.

It has four range settings, starting from a small torch effect light, to a powerful strong beam (nearly as good as the light on my van).

Takes 4 x AA Batteries, so don't use the full beam too often as it will only last for about 5 hrs if you are out on a nights fishing or walking.

All in all, I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good, simple to use head light. Robust and well worth the money!

The Nitecore MH25 is part of the new Multi-Task Hybrid series of lights, which feature a micro-usb charging port and this model includes a free Nitecore 18650 Li-ion battery and USB charging lead.

Simply plug the supplied charging lead into the USB port, without the need to remove the battery or purchase a separate charger. The MH25 can also be powered by two CR123A batteries.

Good but not yet great
I've used the mh25 a number of times now. It has a simple charging idea, which works well - though is is not obvious that you need to plug the light in to usb cable and then turn it on before it will charge (though this does not turn on the main beam).

I would rate its output as noticeably dimmer than my 800 lumen fenix tk45, with a more dispersed hot spot and about 60% of the throw.

Upside is that it is compact, seems well made and the charging approach is handy as the usb cables re everywhere now.

Downside is that the number of parts of the main body all have threads; every time you twist to alter the light beam, you end up unscrewing the usb cover, the tailcap or a combination of the two. Silly, and not a good design approach.

On balance, a nice torch, but best if you want just one output level.
