class little bivi tent for wild camping
Really good little bivvy tent. good construction and features. easy to put up in the wind and rain and i like the roll back feature of the top sheet so you can watch the stars on a hot night. reckon its a 2-3 season but i have seen people use this out in the snow and with a good sleeping bag it seems to be fine. Nice bath tub bottom for wet nights. you need to fix outer sheet down well on windy nights.Pitching is straightforward with two short poles attached using the secure ring and pin system, and there are lots of guy and peg points available to get it stable on windy nights.
all in all a nice little bivvy tent for the light to ultra light walkers etc. split the peg bag and poles from the main tent and it all packs down really well. perfect for up on the hills in summer to early autumn. could do with perhaps a bigger porch but you can get your bag in the top or bottom. Im under 6 feet and there is plenty of leg room and enough side space for cloths etc. Too low for sitting in...

Not massively impressed
This is a good sized single man tent with enough extra space for you to get your kit inside with you and still have enough space to stretch out for a good nights sleep. It's quick and easy to erect and just as easy to pack down again if you need to brake camp in a hurry. My main reservation with this tent is that it weighs the same and packs to exactly the same dimensions as my 2 man tent plus some of the features (such as how the poles clip to the ground of the tent) are actually quiet old fashioned now and I wouldn't expect to see them on a tent at this price point. In short it's a good tent that does the job and won't let you down in a storm but there are better lighter tents available for less than the price of the jack wolfskin gossamer.
