Perfect for the serious traveller
I am writing this to counter some of the negative reviews, for the serious adventure traveller this is close to the perfect bit of kit, a family going camping for the first time and used to home comforts should choose a much different, heavier and bulkier article.

I am buying a second one for my partner, I have been using my own one since 2004 and I have backpacked round the world with it, I didnt have a 3 or 4 seasons bag, this one had to do everything, I even used it at a climbing base camp at 4300m elevation in the Andes, sure under these conditions you need to wear selective layers of clothing whilst sleeping and also make full use of the closures around the face and shoulders.

Excellent for the tropics
We use this on expeditions to the tropics (Madagascar, Indonesia etc.) where it is absolutely brilliant. If I'm going to anywhere at altitude then I would choose a different bag as this one wouldn't be warm enough. I've been so impressed with it on previous trips that I'm here buying one for myself rather than having to borrow my works one. I find it doesn't pack down quite as small as the photo suggests but it packs down more than any other bag I've used and it's perfect when weight and space is an issue. The ones at work also have the...
