I needed a bag for carting around day to day stuff. I used to have small rucksacks but they are a pain when you want to get something out quickly. I can't remember exactly how I discovered the Maxpedition Remora existed but I'm glad that I did. Its USP is that when you have it over your shoulder it is really easy to swing it around and get easy access to your stuff. Or on public transport you can have it on your knee without taking the strap off like you would have to do with a rucksack. I also like the fact that when you are shopping in crowded areas you can swing it around and protect your possessions easily. Note - if you carry it like this in a supermarket expect the security guard to pay you some attention! To be fair it does look like you might be about to steal something with it in that position. But at least your stuff is safe!
