Brilliant piece of kit
This GPS is a vast improvement over the Vista HCx I had before. The problem there was that the map was inadequate, especially if you were navigating through countryside, where very few paths were marked. But here you have Ordinance Survey mapping which is a whole different story. I got used to the touch screen, which I was apprehensive about, in no time. The unit starts up quickly, even from a cold start, and it can pick up satellite signals in cars and trains. It also gives a realistic indication of the charge state of NiMh batteries. Rugged exterior. Highly recommended. The only (minor) quibble is that rechargeable batteries (which tend to be oversized, it's true) are a bit of a tight fit.
