The Jetbeam BC40 is one of the worlds brightest flashlights in its class using the most advanced LED technology available today. Incorporating a premium CREE 10 watt XM-L T6 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours, the BC40 has a maximum output of 830 lumens that can throw a high intensity beam up to 344 metres. If you need lower output for close-up work or just want longer battery life, the BC40 built-in smart agility switch system can easily switch the light to low mode with a run time of 11 hours, simply by loosening the head of the flashlight. In low output mode the BC40 can output 130 lumens and throw a beam of up to 115 metres. Powering the BC40 are a choice of either 4 x CR123 or 2 x 18650 economic Li-ion rechargable batteries. Featuring Jetbeams advanced power management regulated circuit, the BC40 emits a steady consistent non-flickering beam for the duration of the battery in either high or low output mode.

Awesome value for money!
This is by far one of my favourite Jetbeam torches in my collection. Blindingly bright, well balanced and built like a tank (could probably use it as a club!). The price on Amazon is fantastic and its definately well worth it! It either uses four CR123 batterys or two 18650 rechargables. I've only used mine with the Jetbeam 18650's and couldnt be happier with the output and runtime.
